Rommy González (b. Santiago, 1986) is a Chilean visual artist and illustrator based in Berlin. With a background in design and art direction, she has developed her artistic practice for over a decade. Her work explores the intersections between nature, art, and science.
Inspired by the natural world, she examines both micro and macro perspectives, drawing from fields such as geology, microbiology, botany, and the fungal universe. These influences shape her bold, organic, and vibrant style, where color plays a fundamental role in creating imaginative landscapes.
Her artistic production spans multiple formats, including painting, illustration, installation, textile, video projection, and performance. Notably, her large-scale urban murals, full of color and vitality, aim to bring art into public spaces while celebrating the wonders of nature.
González’s work has been exhibited through exhibitions, murals and residencies and in Chile, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Spain, the United States, and Hong Kong.
